    Doughnut lovers flocked a Krispy Kreme in New Castle on Tuesday in celebration of the store’s grand opening.

    The newly-constructed store in front of the New Castle Farmer’s Market features more than 15 varieties of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, as well as bagels and coffee. The drive-thru is open 24-hours.

    Tri-City entrepreneurs Scott and Crystal Carroll announced a franchise agreement with Krispy Kreme on Thursday that will allow the couple to open three doughnut shops in Benton, Franklin and Yakima counties in the next three years.

    Krispy Kreme has named digital agency WPP's VML as global digital agency.

    The review, which began in January, was handled internally, and the company said it solicited requests from a dozen creative agencies.
